GRËJ

Born in Kosovo and immigrated in Switzerland as a 6 months old baby to escape the Balkan’s war, GRËJ grew up with the hip-hop culture starting from the age of 8 after receiving the Dr. Dre’s album “2001” from a friend.

In 2016, he released his first free mixtape “The Grey Tape” and the EP’s “GRËJ” and “GRËJ 2”.
Wanting to step up his music quality and knowledge, he worked with the producer and artist Mondetto and released “L’album gris” through the label 5K based in Aarau, Switzerland.

During the pandemic lockdown in 2020, after a long reflection, he decided to go independent (and named his independent structure KULTURE MUSIQUE), learned the art of beatmaking and produced the project PIXELTAPE, sound designed by Demi DX. This project is inspired by the Japanese music of the 70‘s & 80‘s, vaporwave & lo-fi hip-hop.

In March 2021, to celebrate his 30th birthday, he released the project RINASCIMENT0, co-produced by EVAL and is currently working with him on the project PIXELTAPE 2. En savoir plus sur Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
