Braids

Braids' music journeys through elaborately layered songs that build and recede, then tug and fall. All the while, four best friends, bent crooked over their instruments, swaying and tinkering. Braids playfully explore both the depth of ambient melody and the heights of radical texture with startling immediacy: the band's ethereal vocals soar and sooth, lockstep drums pulse and calm, staccato guitars converse with dulcet piano. Their powerful live performances are sure to awaken and inspire you, shake you a little, and make you dance.
